FINCA Venture Prize Competition

The FINCA Ventures Prize Competition 2025 is a unique opportunity for early-stage social entrepreneurs working at the intersection of innovation and impact. Launched by FINCA International, this prize is designed to identify, support, and accelerate businesses that are developing transformative solutions in the fields of health and agriculture—two critical sectors that directly affect the well-being and economic security of low-income communities around the world.

FINCA International is a pioneering nonprofit organization committed to ending global poverty through social enterprise and financial inclusion. Founded in 1984, FINCA is best known for establishing microfinance institutions that provide financial services to low-income individuals across more than 20 countries. Over the years, the organization has expanded its reach by investing in high-impact businesses through FINCA Ventures.

Through it’s competition, FINCA aims to catalyze the growth of inclusive, market-based solutions that align with its mission of poverty alleviation. Selected winners and finalists not only receive financial support in the form of grant funding, but also gain access to visibility, credibility, and potential long-term partnerships with FINCA Ventures, the impact investing arm of FINCA International.

The prize specifically seeks bold and impactful entrepreneurs who are building scalable models with the capacity to improve lives across developing economies, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. FINCA Ventures is especially interested in solutions that close gaps in healthcare access, drive nutritional outcomes, improve agricultural productivity, and offer affordable, sustainable innovations for underserved populations.

The FINCA Ventures Prize goes beyond typical recognition—it’s a stepping stone for emerging social enterprises to refine their impact, scale their operations, and reach new markets. In a world where millions still lack access to basic health services and reliable food systems, this competition is a call to action for visionary problem-solvers to step up and make a difference.
