GREEN AFRICA YOUTH ORGANIZATION (GAYO) AFRICAN YOUTH NEGOTIATORS FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMME 2024 FOR CLIMATE CHAMPIONS

Applications are now open for the 2024 Green Africa Youth Organization (GAYO) African Youth Negotiators Fellowship Programme. This climate action fellowship for young African leaders is a unique opportunity designed to equip youth with the necessary skills to engage in climate change governance and climate diplomacy, especially within the framework of the UNFCCC negotiations for youth. Since its launch in 2022, the program has trained African youth in climate governance, providing a comprehensive understanding of the key negotiation tracks that shape COP negotiation outcomes. This UNFCCC youth fellowship prepares young leaders from government, civil society, and marginalized communities to meaningfully participate in global climate decision-making processes.

The fellowship offers climate policy training for African youth leaders, ensuring they are well-prepared to navigate and influence international climate policies. By empowering the next generation of African climate champions, GAYO is fostering youth climate action and building the capacity of young professionals to lead in sustainability leadership and climate diplomacy programs for African youth.
