Act Foundation Grant Cycle 2025 For Non-Profit Organizations And Social Enterprises In Africa

Applications are now open for the 2025 ACT Foundation Grant Cycle. This cycle offers funding opportunities for African NGOs, non-profits, and social enterprises focusing on Health, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Environment. Successful applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal with a detailed budget for the grants. Requirements/ Eligibility criteria

  1. Work within the ACT Foundation’s focus areas of Health, Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Environment.
  2. Be registered as a non-profit organization or social enterprise within their respective (African) countries for at least two years.
  3. Have a legal registration as a GTE/LTD non-profit; if applying as a social enterprise, the Foundation only funds initiatives that are not for profit.
  4. Demonstrate a strong governance structure; details of the board of directors should reflect in the company’s registration documents.
  5. Show evidence of other sources of funding to sustain the project.
  6. Have a minimum staff strength of 3 part-time or full-time paid individuals.
  7. Be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project, i.e., not acting as an intermediary.
  8. Program/Initiative must be implemented within Africa, contributing to sustainable development and capacity building.
