The DAAD In-Country & In-Region Scholarship Program 2026 is a prestigious fully funded scholarship designed to support students from developing countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Central and South America, South and Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The program is aimed at training future university lecturers, professionals, and researchers by offering them the opportunity to pursue Master’s and PhD degrees at top universities in their home or neighboring countries.

With a strong emphasis on development-related studies and fields aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the program ensures that scholars contribute to the academic and professional growth of their regions. Over 267 scholarships were awarded in 2023, positively impacting students, particularly women and disadvantaged groups.
