The SFF FinTech Awards 2025 recognize outstanding FinTech solutions that have been implemented by companies, institutions, or individuals that contribute significantly to the financial services sector. Held in conjunction with the Singapore FinTech Festival (SFF), the awards celebrate innovation, creativity, and excellence in developing new financial technology solutions that enhance the efficiency, accessibility, and inclusiveness of financial services.

As digital transformation accelerates across the globe, the SFF FinTech Awards aim to spotlight and reward those who are leading the charge in revolutionizing the finance industry through disruptive technologies, improved user experience, and better financial inclusion. The award categories are structured to highlight not just established players but also startups and emerging innovators who are making a tangible impact in both domestic and global financial landscapes.

The 2025 edition of the awards will feature four main categories:

  • Singapore Founder Category – Recognizes FinTech solutions developed by Singaporean founders.
  • ASEAN FinTech Category – Awards outstanding FinTech solutions in the ASEAN region.
  • Global FinTech Category – Acknowledges innovative solutions developed outside of the ASEAN region.
  • Singapore Financial Institution Category – Highlights financial institutions headquartered in Singapore that have innovated successfully using FinTech solutions.

Participants will be evaluated on several criteria, including the level of innovation, the impact on the financial sector, market adoption, and scalability potential. Winners receive not only cash prizes and global recognition but also significant media exposure and networking opportunities through the Singapore FinTech Festival. With SFF being one of the world’s largest FinTech gatherings, this award can be a major milestone for emerging companies and a validation for established innovators.
By supporting and acknowledging breakthrough solutions in financial technology, the SFF FinTech Awards 2025 aim to create an ecosystem that encourages collaboration, growth, and advancement in digital financial services across the globe.

Requirements/Eligibility


The SFF FinTech Awards are open to a wide range of applicants from both the private and public sectors. Below are the specific eligibility requirements for each category:


General Eligibility:

  • Applicants can be startups, financial institutions, tech companies, or individual innovators.
  • The submitted solution must be a FinTech product, service, or process that has been implemented before June 2025.
  • Entries must be submitted by the deadline with all required documentation.

Singapore Founder Category:

  • The founder of the FinTech solution must be a Singaporean citizen or permanent resident.
  • The solution should be developed by a Singapore-based company or team.

ASEAN FinTech Category:

  • Applicants must be registered entities in any of the ten ASEAN countries.
  • The FinTech solution must be implemented within the ASEAN region.

Global FinTech Category:

  • Open to applicants globally, excluding ASEAN nations.
  • The solution must be implemented outside of ASEAN but still demonstrate global impact.

Singapore Financial Institution Category:

  • Applicants must be Singapore-headquartered financial institutions.
  • The solution must involve digital transformation or FinTech implementation within the organization.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Innovation: Degree of originality and technological advancement.
  • Impact: The solution’s effect on improving financial inclusion, efficiency, and/or experience.
  • Scalability: Potential to scale and be adopted regionally or globally.
  • Adoption: Evidence of real-world implementation and user feedback.

Submission Requirements

  • Online application form.
  • Executive summary of the solution.
  • Detailed presentation or video pitch.
  • Supporting documentation (e.g., whitepapers, user testimonials, analytics).

Multiple Entries:

Organizations can submit multiple entries, but each must be unique and submitted separately.

Language:

All application materials must be submitted in English.

Non-Eligibility:

Entries that are still in conceptual stages without a proven implementation record.

Duration/Stipend

The awards process spans over several months, beginning with the application opening, followed by the evaluation phase, finalist announcement, and the final awards presentation during the Singapore FinTech Festival in November 2025.
While the awards are not fellowships and do not include a traditional monthly stipend, they offer significant monetary prizes, including:

  • Up to SGD 150,000 for winners in selected categories.
  • Recognition trophies and digital badges.
  • Opportunities to present at global forums and media features.
  • Winners also gain exposure to venture capitalists, potential partners, and global FinTech influencers, creating long-term value beyond just the prize money.
