Requirement/Eligibility
1. Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 45 at the time of application.
2. Open to Nigerians, Africans, or non-African founders building tech solutions for African markets.
3. Applicants must be working on or have launched a tech-enabled startup, idea, or innovation in any of the approved sectors.
4. Both individuals and teams are eligible to apply.
5. Applicants must have a clear business or product concept, whether at idea, MVP, or scale stage.
6. Participants must be available for the virtual pitch event, scheduled for 30 July 2025.
7. All applicants must have the capacity or interest to integrate AWS cloud services into their startup development.
8. Each selected participant or team will receive ₦500,000 in AWS credits to use during the challenge.
9. One application per individual/team is allowed; duplicate entries may be disqualified.
10. All participants must commit to post-program mentorship, demo visibility, and community support activities organized by Startup Abuja.
Prize
The Startup Abuja Innovation Challenge offers one of the most valuable and equitable prize pools for African tech innovators, including:
- 1st Prize:
₦5 million in cash funding, ₦4 million in AWS credits, and ₦1 million worth of mentorship and product development support. - 2nd Prize:
₦3 million in cash, ₦4 million AWS credits, ₦1 million mentorship package. - 3rd Prize:
₦2 million in cash, ₦4 million AWS credits, and ₦1 million in advisory support. - Top 10 Finalists:
