Requirement/Eligibility
1. Applicant must be a citizen or legal resident of an African country, including Nigeria.
2. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
3. Must hold a valid national ID, passport, or voter card to prove African nationality.
4. Applicants must own or lead a business in the fashion, textile, apparel, or accessories sector.
5. For the Incubator track, the business must be less than 3 years old and at proof-of-concept stage.
6. For the Accelerator track, the business must be 3 years or older, formally registered, and generating revenue.
7. The program is open to individuals or small teams, with emphasis on women-led and youth-led businesses.
8. All applicants must be active members of the Fashionomics Africa platform (free registration).
9. Must have access to the internet and be able to participate in online training and pitch events.
10. Must commit to attending the full 8-week program and participate in Pitch Day if selected as a finalist.
Duration/Stipend
The Fashionomics Africa Programme runs for a total of 8 weeks, during which selected participants will take part in structured virtual learning modules. These cover vital business areas such as branding, pricing, export-readiness, sustainability, digital marketing, financial literacy, gender inclusion, and climate-conscious production.
At the end of the program, a Pitch Day competition will be held where finalists will present their businesses to a panel of judges composed of investors, fashion experts, and development professionals. Four winners (two per track) will be awarded $20,000 USD each to expand their businesses.
In addition to the cash grant, fellows will also receive:
- 1-on-1 mentorship from African fashion experts.
- Digital business toolkits and pitch decks.
