Requirement/Eligibility
To be considered for the 2025 World Forum for Democracy Youth Delegation, applicants must meet the following criteria:
2. Demonstrate strong interest and active participation in youth engagement, democracy-building, human rights, or civic innovation.
3. Be a resident of a Council of Europe member state or an invited observer partner country.
4. Be fluent in English, which is the main working language of the Forum.
5. Be available for the full duration of the program: from November 2 to November 8, 2025, including both the pre-Forum preparation and the Forum itself.
6. Show proof of involvement in community-based projects, youth networks, or democracy-focused organizations.
7. Be highly motivated to contribute to Forum debates, participate actively in workshops, and engage with diverse cultural and political perspectives.
8. Be open to assuming active roles, such as rapporteurs, moderators, or discussion leaders during the event.
9. Have no restrictions that would prevent travel to Strasbourg, France (Council of Europe will facilitate visas where necessary).
10. Submit a complete application form, including a strong motivation statement, by the official deadline.
Duration/Stipend
This is a seven-day fully immersive experience, structured as follows:
November 2–4, 2025: Pre-Forum youth preparation sessions at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg, including training, networking, and strategic planning with other delegates.
November 5–7, 2025: Full participation in the World Forum for Democracy 2025 at the Palais de l’Europe, including high-level panels, labs, and collaborative sessions.
November 8, 2025: Departure of participants.
All expenses are fully covered, including:
