Breaking opportunities like this do not come often, and for Nigerian youths, this grant program could be the game-changer that transforms both business and personal growth. The Transforming Nigerian Youths Program (Cohort 3), organized under SARA by Wema Bank in partnership with the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Pan-Atlantic University and supported by the Mastercard Foundation, is one of the most impactful initiatives currently shaping the entrepreneurial landscape in Nigeria. This initiative is not just about training; it is about unlocking a pathway for Nigerian youths to receive free enterprise development, mentorship, market access, and life-changing grants.
The urgency behind this opportunity cannot be overstated. The program is set to host an intensive 3-day physical training session from 9th to 11th September 2025 at KM 22, Lekki–Epe Expressway, Lagos. It is designed to equip young Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35 with essential entrepreneurial skills, business support, and access to seed grants that could scale their businesses into sustainable enterprises. What makes this program stand out is its unique focus on female entrepreneurs, ensuring that women-owned businesses receive the spotlight and resources to grow.
Participants who successfully join this transformational journey will not only learn the fundamentals of running profitable businesses but also receive access to certified Business Development Support Providers (BDSPs) accredited by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN). The learning process is made highly accessible by incorporating four major Nigerian indigenous languages and using digital tools that work even in areas with limited or no internet connection. This ensures inclusivity for participants in underserved and rural communities.
The highlight of this initiative is the Pitchathon, a final presentation event where selected participants get to showcase their businesses to a panel of experts. Beyond the knowledge, exposure, and visibility, outstanding participants stand the chance to win seed grants of up to ₦2,500,000 to support their ventures. The Pitchathon is not just about winning money but also about gaining visibility, mentorship, and access to trade fairs, exhibitions, and broader market opportunities both locally and internationally.
The program is absolutely free. Yes, you read that correctly—there are no costs, no hidden charges, no fees of any kind. Everything is covered by the organizers to ensure that as many Nigerian youths as possible can benefit without financial barriers. If you are passionate about entrepreneurship, determined to scale your idea or small business, and committed to lifelong learning, this is your ultimate opportunity. With the deadline for applications fast approaching, this is the final call for Nigerian youths to act fast and secure their spot.
