To qualify for the Yale Young Global Scholars (YYGS) Summer 2026, applicants must meet the following strict eligibility criteria: 1. Be at least 16 years old by July 21, 2026 (program start date) and no older than 18 years by the end of the session. 2. Be a current high school student or equivalent, expected to graduate by May/June 2027 or later. 3. Demonstrate a strong academic record and genuine interest in at least one of the program’s academic tracks. 4. Possess English language proficiency, as all sessions and materials are conducted in English. 5. Be committed to actively participating in seminars, lectures, and group projects. 6. Be ready to reside on Yale’s campus during the two-week session (this is an in-person program). 7. Provide academic transcripts and a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor. 8. Submit a personal statement and short essays as part of the application. 9. Have access to reliable internet if applying for financial aid or fee waiver. 10.
