Applications are now open for the 2026 edition of the French Government’s “Make Our Planet Great Again” (MOPGA) Scholarship Program, a prestigious initiative designed to attract top international researchers to conduct cutting-edge work in environmental and climate science in France. Launched in 2018, MOPGA has rapidly become a flagship international postdoctoral research program, organized by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR), and implemented by Campus France.

Applicants are expected to propose projects related to one of the following five major research areas: 1. Earth System Sciences 2. Climate Change Sciences and Sustainability 3. Energy Transition 4. Societal Challenges Related to Environmental Issues 5. Human, Animal, and Environmental Health (as part of the One Health approach)
Important Note: Only projects embracing the “One Health” approach (i.e., considering the links between human health, animal health, and ecosystems) are eligible. Research limited to human medicine with no environmental or animal context will not be considered.
