The TWAS-UNESCO Associateship Scheme 2026 invites highly competent researchers from developing countries to collaborate with top research centers in the Global South. This unique program enables associates to strengthen their scientific work by conducting regular visits to one of nearly 300 selected Centres of Excellence, fostering international research collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Selected researchers will receive a fully funded three-year associateship, allowing two visits to their host institution to advance joint scientific projects. This prestigious appointment is designed to support researchers, especially those in isolated institutions and women scientists, empowering them with valuable exposure and resources to excel in their fields.
