Accelerating Youth-Led Action in Addressing Climate Mobility in Africa

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is calling for applications for the Youth Capacity Enhancement Programme on Climate Mobility 2025-2026. This program aims to equip youth-led civil society organizations (CSOs) in Africa with technical expertise, resources, and mentorship to implement innovative climate mobility solutions.

The program provides a unique opportunity for young leaders to develop skills and knowledge in addressing climate mobility challenges. Participants will undergo online training, a physical workshop, and mentorship to enhance their capacity to design and implement effective projects.

Programme Components:
The program includes:

1. Online Training: Four webinars covering climate change, project conceptualization, monitoring and evaluation, and advocacy.

2. Physical Workshop: 3-day immersive workshop to refine project proposals and pitch to an expert panel.

3. Mentorship: Opportunities to connect with experts and fellow youth leaders.

4. Certification: Certificate of completion upon finishing the program.

Requirement/Eligibility

1. Age: 18-35 years old
2. Nationality: From an African country
3. Organization: Representative of a youth-led CSO registered in an African country
4. Experience: 2-5 years of experience in environmental or social projects
5. Project Idea: Submit a project concept for an innovative climate mobility solution

Duration/Stipend

The program includes online training in August-September 2025 and a 3-day physical workshop in October 2025. Participants will receive a stipend to support their participation in the program.

Location

The program will be held in Africa, with the exact location to be determined by the organizers.
