In a world increasingly shaped by misinformation and digital propaganda, truth-telling has never been more essential. That’s why Africa Check, in collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), has launched the Africa Check Fellowship Programme 2025, an intensive, fully in-person fact-checking training for African journalists who are ready to sharpen their skills, defend democracy, and promote accuracy in media.
This 12-day training programme will take place in November 2025 at Africa Check’s regional offices in Nairobi, Kenya, and will be conducted entirely in English. The fellowship aims to empower journalists and media professionals with the tools, knowledge, and ethical frameworks needed to identify, investigate, and counter false information that poses threats to society, democracy, and public health. If you are a journalist or media professional passionate about ethical journalism, this is your final call to apply before the October 10th, 2025
The Africa Check Fellowship Programme is a 12-day immersive training experience designed specifically for African journalists who want to improve their fact-checking and verification skills. Participants will undergo a rigorous and interactive training in:
