Interns will have the chance to develop professional experience and contribute to impactful projects while working in different departments of the African Union, including Economic Development, Health and Humanitarian Affairs, and Political Affairs.
Interns will work in key areas such as the Cabinet of the Deputy Chairperson, Agriculture, Rural Development, and Sustainable Environment, Economic Development, Trade, Industry, Mining, and more. This immersive internship offers opportunities for leadership development, enhancing your understanding of pan-Africanism while contributing to global goals through African Union initiatives.

Requirements/Eligibility To be eligible for the AU Internship Program, applicants must:
Be nationals of a Member State of the African Union
Be full-time students currently enrolled in the final year of their Bachelor’s or graduate school program
Be fluent in at least one of the African Union working languages (Arabic, English, French, or Portuguese)
Be no more than thirty-two (32) years old at the time of selection
Possess the highest standard of moral conduct and integrity
