Fellowship Benefits

Selected fellows will receive comprehensive financial support, covering international travel, accommodation, and daily living expenses for the duration of the fellowship. This fully funded UK academic fellowship includes the following core components:

  1. Participation in the BAICE 2026 Conference
Fellows will be invited to attend and present their work at the BAICE 2026 education conference. This international academic event gathers researchers, educators, and policy experts from around the world and provides a valuable platform to showcase research and receive feedback from peers.
  2. Compare Writers’ Workshop
Fellows will participate in a full-day Compare Writers’ Workshop, specifically designed to support early-career education researchers in refining and preparing their work for academic publication. This workshop focuses on enhancing writing, research presentation, and publishing skills, with direct input from Compare journal editors and other academic mentors.
  3. UK-Based Research Stay
Following the conference, each fellow will undertake a 1–2 week research stay at a UK academic institution. This visit allows fellows to access university libraries, archives, and academic databases, while also engaging in networking opportunities with UK educators and researchers. Scholars may also explore possibilities for future collaboration and mentorship. For those already in contact with a UK academic mentor, this connection can further enrich the experience, though it is not a mandatory requirement for application.

These features make this program one of the most competitive and inclusive research fellowships for international educators, offering real-world academic development and publication opportunities.
