DELT-Her Initiative 2025: Empowering Female Engineers in Nigeria with Innovation Funding and Mentorship Opportunities

The DELT-Her Initiative (Developing Engineering Leaders Through Her) is a groundbreaking program developed to close the gender gap in Nigeria’s engineering and innovation sectors by providing critical support for female engineers and aspiring professionals. Spearheaded by the Presidential Implementation Committee on Technology and Telecommunications (PiCTT), the initiative focuses on empowering women with the tools, funding, networks, and mentorship they need to succeed in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM)-related fields.

In a country where female participation in STEM continues to be significantly low due to systemic barriers and socio-economic limitations, DELT-Her steps forward as a transformative solution to not only uplift women in engineering but also drive innovation for national development. The program acknowledges that empowering women with technological skills and leadership training is essential to foster inclusive growth in Nigeria’s fast-evolving digital and industrial economy.
