ITU Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme 2025 – Fully Funded Fellowship for Young Changemakers
The ITU Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme (GCYLP) is an exciting, fully funded fellowship designed to engage, empower, and inspire young digital leaders and changemakers. This programme is for young visionaries from across the globe who propose creative, innovative, and feasible community-driven projects aimed at creating a more inclusive and empowered digital future.
In partnership with Huawei, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is offering guidance, training, and financial support to 30 young fellows annually. These fellows will be given the opportunity to practically implement digital development projects in their respective communities. This programme supports young leaders in making digital transformation ideas a reality or in expanding the impact of existing digital development projects.

Eligibility Criteria for ITU Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme 2025
To be eligible for the ITU Generation Connect Young Leadership Programme 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age Requirement: Between 18 and 28 years old
- Impact-driven: Interested in making a tangible impact in your community through leading your own digital development project
- Academic Requirement: Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) or a demonstrably STEM-related academic programme
- Language Proficiency: Able to communicate in English, the main language of the programme, to ensure full participation in trainings, networking, and events
