1. Have at least five years of hands-on, on-the-ground conservation experience. The program is specifically tailored to practitioners actively implementing market-based approaches in real environmental contexts.
2. Submit a strong project proposal. Applicants must present a well-defined environmental issue related to their professional work, outlining a proposed solution using market-driven approaches.
3. Be prepared to collaborate on group projects during the fellowship. Fellows will work collectively to integrate the cohort’s expertise, proposed projects, and curriculum insights.
4. Possess a four-year U.S. college degree or its international equivalent.
5. Have a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience after completing their degree.
6. Demonstrate proficiency in spoken and written English. All sessions, workshops, and group dialogues are conducted in English.
7. Work as a conservation practitioner rather than an academic or purely research-focused professional. The program prioritizes individuals actively implementing solutions, not those primarily involved in academic research.
8. Be committed to applying fellowship insights to real-world conservation challenges after completion. The program values participants who intend to create ongoing impact.

Duration / Stipends
The Kinship Conservation Fellowship Program 2026 is a month-long, in-residence leadership and professional development experience.
