During the summer of 2025, the Mandela Washington Fellowship will bring up to 700 young African leaders to the United States for an intensive summer program designed to develop leadership skills and empower Fellows to take on key roles in their communities and industries. This fully funded fellowship offers a six-week Leadership Instituteat a U.S. college or university, where Fellows will engage in a U.S.-Africa exchange program, sharing experiences and learning from U.S. citizens and other African Fellows.
The program provides an exceptional opportunity to explore industries beyond one’s usual field, broadening expertise and enhancing skills. Fellows will also connect with U.S. government officials and prominent business leaders, gaining insights and forging valuable relationships that will advance their professional development. After the program, Fellows can join the Global Alumni Network, a valuable resource for finding innovative solutions to common challenges.
