One Young World – Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2025

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) and One Young World have partnered to offer the Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2025 to empower young leaders and entrepreneurs in developing countries and fragile states. The scholarship provides an incredible opportunity for young individuals working on youth employment and job creation to attend the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany, where they will join over 2,000 changemakers from 190+ countries. This summit offers a unique platform for discussing and proposing solutions to global challenges, while also creating valuable networking and mentorship opportunities.

About the Program

The Enterprising Futures Scholarship is designed for young leaders who are actively involved in driving change in youth employment or entrepreneurship. It aims to bridge the gap between the skills young people learn and what the labor market demands, thereby enhancing the prospects of youth in fragile states. The scholarship will enable selected candidates to take part in the One Young World Summit 2025, an event that brings together the world’s brightest young minds to collaborate and advocate for job creationsocial entrepreneurship, and economic development. Participants will also engage in pre- and post-program activities that focus on innovative solutions for global challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  1. Age Requirement: Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old by the date of the One Young World Summit 2025 in November.
  2. Professional Engagement: Candidates must be actively engaged in the fields of youth employment or job creation, either as entrepreneurs or in related roles, and must be able to demonstrate their impact.
  3. Nationality and Residency: Applicants must be nationals of and residents in one of the following countries: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iraq (including Kurdistan region), Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Palestinian Territories, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Tunisia, or Uganda. Refugee status is also acceptable.
  4. English Proficiency: All candidates must have a working understanding of English, as both the One Young World Summit and related programs will be conducted in English.
  5. Availability: Applicants must be available to join the program full-time between 2nd – 7th November 2025, as well as the pre- and post-program dates.

To apply for the Enterprising Futures Scholarship, candidates must submit an online application form and provide supporting documents that demonstrate their engagement in job creation or entrepreneurship. Successful candidates will be selected based on their leadership potential, commitment to youth employment, and their ability to contribute to the One Young World Summit 2025.
