The Power Learn Project Software Development Scholarship 2025 is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering African youth with critical digital skills to thrive in the global tech ecosystem. As the demand for software developers continues to rise across the world, the Power Learn Project (PLP) seeks to close the digital divide and equip young Africans with world-class training in coding, entrepreneurship, and soft skills through a fully funded, remote learning model.
This initiative forms part of PLP’s ambitious vision to train 1 million software developers across Africa by the year 2027. It offers a 16-week intensive training program delivered online, making it accessible to learners across the continent regardless of geographic location or socioeconomic background. The program provides a comprehensive curriculum that includes Python programming, web development, mobile app development, basic Artificial Intelligence, and personal development.
Unlike traditional academic models, this scholarship is designed for beginners. No prior experience in programming or computer science is required. The content is delivered in a user-friendly manner, focusing on practical learning, real-life applications, and problem-solving skills. Participants will also be introduced to employability modules that teach essential communication, collaboration, and entrepreneurship skills.
Graduates of the program will not only receive a certificate of completion but will also gain access to the PLP Talent Placement Hub, which connects them to job opportunities, internships, and incubation for entrepreneurial ideas. The PLP community also offers networking, mentorship, and lifelong support to ensure learners continue to grow and succeed in their tech journeys.
The scholarship is particularly valuable in today’s climate, where youth unemployment is high, and digital transformation is rapidly changing the nature of work. The program is tailored to build resilience and adaptability among African youth, giving them tools to become job creators and not just job seekers. With Africa’s youthful population and growing internet access, this initiative comes at the right time to catalyze inclusive growth and innovation on the continent.
If you are passionate about technology and innovation, ready to transform your future, and eager to learn, the Power Learn Project Software Development Scholarship 2025 offers you the opportunity to start your journey with no cost at all.
