RFI-AUF Young Writing Prize

The RFI-AUF Young Writing Prize, “Écrire, s’engager, rayonner” (Write, Commit, Shine), is a literary contest designed to encourage writing and reading in French among young francophones. The competition aims to promote the use of French language and culture, while providing a platform for young writers to showcase their talents. The theme of the contest is centered around the idea of writing as a means of self-expression, commitment, and radiance.

The contest is open to francophones worldwide, aged 18-29, who are enrolled in one of the AUF member institutions or the École de Management de la Francophonie (ESFAM). Participants are required to write a fictional story starting with the phrase “Je ne peux pas raconter d’où je viens. J’ai tout oublié”. The story should not exceed 8,000 characters, spaces included.
