The 2025 SCOJA Fellowship offers a unique combination of in-person training and a six-month community-focused engagement period. It is tailored specifically for community journalists and human rights advocates who are working at the grassroots level to tell critical stories and inspire social change.
The fellowship consists of:
- 3-Day Intensive Training: To be held in Kaduna, Plateau, or Borno states, covering high-impact topics relevant to community-based journalism and advocacy.
- 6-Month Field Engagement: Fellows will receive mentorship, produce in-depth reports, and execute advocacy initiatives in their local communities.
- Post-Training Support: Including stipends, peer-to-peer learning, and networking opportunities.
