Requirement/Eligibility
1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.
2. Master’s program applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and be under 35 years old.
3. Doctoral program applicants must hold a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
4. Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic performance and research potential.
5. A valid passport copy is required at the time of application.
6. Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors must be submitted.
7. A detailed study plan or research proposal is required (minimum 800 words).
8. Proficiency in English (IELTS, TOEFL, or English-taught degree proof) or Chinese (HSK) depending on the medium of instruction.
9. Applicants must register on both the CSC portal (Category B, Agency Number: 10561) and the SCUT university application system.
10. Applicants must not be receiving any other scholarships from the Chinese government.
