Requirements / Eligibility Criteria
The SINGA scholarship is open to international graduates who meet the following criteria:
- A passion for research and an outstanding academic record in undergraduate or master’s level studies.
- The program is intended primarily for international students who have not previously studied at Singapore’s tertiary institutions. Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents, as well as international students who have studied or are currently studying at Singaporean universities, are not eligible.
- Applicants should have strong written and spoken English skills.
- Strong recommendation reports from academic referees are required.
- GRE scores may be required depending on the program of choice.
- Submission of IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, or GATE results may be requested later by the university for admission purposes.

Benefits
The SINGA Scholarship offers comprehensive support for up to 4 years of PhD studies, including:
- Tuition Fees: Full coverage of tuition fees for the entire duration of the PhD or EngD program.
- Monthly Stipend: A monthly stipend of S$2,700, which will increase to S$3,200 after passing the Qualifying Examination.
- Airfare Grant: A one-time airfare grant of up to S$1,500 to help cover the cost of traveling to Singapore.
- Settling-in Allowance: A one-time settling-in allowance of S$1,000 to help with initial expenses upon arrival in Singapore.
