Applications are now open for the 2025/2028 IOC Young Leaders Program, an initiative by the International Olympic Committee aimed at empowering emerging leaders. Young talents who are eager to make a social impact through sports now have the opportunity to leverage this program to address pressing social challenges in their communities.
Selected participants will engage in a transformative experience, learning how to utilize sport for development as a tool for sustainable development and community engagement. The 25 chosen leaders will be announced in February 2025. Since its inception in 2016, the IOC Young Leaders Programme has successfully supported over 160 sport-led projects, promoting education, equality, health, and sustainability, directly benefitting more than 37,000 individuals.

Requirements/Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be between 20 and 28 years old at the time of application. Age limit principle: you turned or will turn 20 or 28 in 2024.
- Successful completion of the 4-Week Learning Sprint is required (Certificate of Participation earned).
- Candidates must submit a plan for a program, project, or social business that utilizes sport as a means for sustainable development. This proposal should address an existing issue in your community through the lens of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while closely aligning with the Olympic values and sport-based solutions.
- The minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants need to have at least one year of work experience, which can include internships and part-time jobs.
