The World Bank Legal Vice Presidency’s (LEG VPU) Internship Program (Summer) 2025

The World Bank Legal Internship Program offers an excellent opportunity for law students to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the mission and daily operations of the World Bank Legal Vice Presidency (LEG VPU). This program is designed to give participants exposure to the World Bank’s legal services, helping them develop skills in international law, legal analysis, and policy-making, while working in a multicultural environment. Interns will have the chance to collaborate with legal professionals and senior management, attending high-profile events and conferences that provide real-world insights into the World Bank’s work.

The World Bank Internship Program is offered thrice a year for a period of 10-12 weeks at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington, D.C., as well as selected country offices. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to legal research, writing reports, and assisting in legal advisory services provided to the Bank’s operational teams. This experience is ideal for law students looking to gain exposure to international law and work in an organization that fosters global development and poverty alleviation.
