Requirements/ Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the 2026 Echoing Green Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Age Requirement: You must be 18 years or older by June 1, 2026.
2. English Proficiency: Applicants must be able to proficiently communicate in English, as all programming and support are conducted in English.
3. Leadership: You must be a founder or co-founder of the proposed organization and must have the authority to make key decisions.
4. Stage of Organization: Your organization must be in its early stages (typically within the first few years of operation).
5. Independent Operation: Organizations with fiscal sponsors are eligible, as long as the sponsor does not control decision-making.
6. Funding Need: Applicants should require funding to launch or grow their initiative.
7. Community Connection: Preference is given to applicants who reflect the community they serve and who work closely with that community in co-designing solutions.
8. Innovative Solutions: Applicants should offer bold, innovative, and impactful ideas that tackle systemic inequalities.
9. Scalability Potential: Your idea should demonstrate potential for growth and replication.
10. Non-Profit or For-Profit: Both non-profit and for-profit models are welcome, as long as the social impact is central.
