Twas-Tübi̇tak Postgraduate Fellowship Programme 2025 For Developing Countries

The TWAS-TÜBİTAK Postgraduate Fellowship Programme 2025 is a fully funded opportunity for PhD research in natural sciences and applied sciences in Turkey, offered through a collaboration between the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK) and TWAS. This program is designed for scholars from developing countries in the South, especially those from Science and Technology Lagging Countries (STLC). Successful candidates will conduct part of their PhD research in prestigious Turkey universities and TÜBİTAK research centers, contributing to global research collaboration in the fields of science and technology. This international fellowship not only offers research opportunities but also fosters academic exchange for candidates interested in higher education and science and engineering.

Requirements/Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a permanent resident and national of a developing country in the South (https://twas.org/developing-countries-south).
  • Candidates from Science and Technology Lagging Countries (STLC) and women are especially encouraged to apply. For the list of STLC, please see STLC List.
  • Developing countries that are not on the list are also eligible to apply.
  • Must not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in Turkey or any developed country.
  • Applicants already onsite in the host country (Turkey) are not eligible to apply for this postgraduate fellowship.
  • Hold a master’s or equivalent degree in natural and related applied sciences (in one of the specified fields).
  • Be a maximum age of 35 years on 31 December of the application year.
