UNESCO Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads Photo Contest 2025

The UNESCO Youth Eyes on the Silk Roads Photo Contest is a global competition that invites young people aged 14 to 25 to showcase their understanding of the shared heritage of the Silk Roads through photography. The contest promotes cultural interaction, fosters mutual understanding, and peace among people living across the Silk Roads regions. This year’s theme is “Women, Guardians of Silk Roads Heritage,” and participants are encouraged to capture the essential roles of women in preserving and transmitting the shared heritage of the Silk Roads.

The contest is divided into two age categories: 14-17 years old and 18-25 years old. Participants can submit up to 20 photographs with captions in digital format (JPEG or JPG), and the quality of the photographs must be at least 1,500 pixels wide for horizontal images and 1,500 pixels tall for vertical images. The contest is open to everyone between 14 and 25 years old, regardless of their country of residence, except employees of UNESCO and the donor, China World Peace Foundation, and their family members.
