The UdeM scholarship programis designed to support international candidates in their university studies, allowing them to attend the prestigious Université de Montréal without the financial burden of high tuition fees typically charged to foreign students. Since the fall of 2020, eligible candidates can receive an exemption from these tuition fees, making it easier for the best talent from all countries to enroll.
This initiative enriches the cultural diversity of the Université de Montréal community while helping students pursue academic excellence.

Requirements/ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the UdeM Exemption Scholarship, applicants must:
- Have received an offer of admission to a study program at UdeM (as of Fall 2020).
- Not be enrolled in an independent study program or short undergraduate program, such as a certificate, major, minor, or preparatory year program for university studies, as of the Winter 2024 session.
- Hold valid study authorizations (CAQ and study permit) for all sessions of their study program.
- Be continuously enrolled full-time (unless absence is approved) for the entire duration of their study program.
- Not benefit from any other form of tuition fee exemption.
