US Embassy Education Grants for Nigerians, 2025

The Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Abuja, Nigeria, is excited to announce an open competition for organizations to submit applications to manage projects aimed at promoting U.S. higher education opportunities for high-achieving, low-income Nigerian students. This initiative is specifically designed to assist students applying for graduate and undergraduate programs through the EducationUSA Opportunity Funds Program. By partnering with Standard Advising Centers in key Nigerian cities such as Calabar, Jos, Ibadan, and Kano, the program seeks to empower talented students with the resources necessary to succeed in applying to U.S. universities.

This education grants program is crucial in providing financial aid to Nigerian students by covering costs such as standardized test feesvisa feesSEVIS feesapplication fees, airfare, and settling-in expenses. These grants are designed to ensure that low-income Nigerian students with great potential can overcome the financial barriers to studying in the United States. Organizations that apply will work directly with the U.S. Embassy’s Education Specialists, who are dedicated to supporting this initiative and helping students navigate the often-complicated admissions process.
