Applications are now open for the WE Empower UN SDG Challenge 2026, a prestigious global competition recognizing women social entrepreneurs who are advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Launched in 2018 at the UN General Assembly by the UN Secretary‑General, the President of the World Bank, and the Council of Women World Leaders, the WE Empower UN SDG Challenge aims to highlight women entrepreneurs driving positive change and building sustainable, equitable communities worldwide.
In 2026, five regional awardees will be selected to participate in high-profile events during Climate Week NYC and the 81st United Nations General Assembly, from September 19–26, 2026.
