The Atlantic Fellows for Social and Economic Equity (AFSEE) Programme 2027-2028 is an innovative, fully-funded fellowship based at the International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Aimed at mid-career social-change leaders, this inequalities-focused opportunity invites policymakers, researchers, activists, practitioners, artists, and movement-builders from around the world to tackle global disparities. You must possess at least 7 years of experience demonstrating courage, care, leadership, and commitment in advancing equitable solutions to inequality.
For the Residential Fellows track, you must qualify for admission to the LSE’s MSc in Inequalities and Social Science, which requires a 2:1 degree or equivalent in any discipline, alongside meeting LSE’s Higher English Language Requirement.
For the Non-Residential Fellows track, you must meet LSE’s Standard English Language Requirement. This track welcomes both applicants with an undergraduate degree (2:2 and above) and those without an undergraduate degree, as well as those holding postgraduate degrees.
You must not have attained a PhD, completed a master’s degree within the past three years, or be currently studying for a degree (unless your course ends before the Fellowship year begins in September).
Preferred qualities prioritize candidates living in the Global South, individuals from marginalised and/or historically underrepresented groups (including Black, Latinx/o/a/e, Indigenous, Asian, Arab, Middle Eastern, Pacific Islander, refugee, biracial, multiracial, female-identifying, disability, and LGBTQIA+ communities), and those without other resources to finance their participation.
