The ArchiviDOTng Fellowship for 2024-2025 is a multidisciplinary six-month program designed to enhance the world’s understanding of Nigerian history in engaging and meaningful ways. Despite its rich heritage, much of Nigerian history has remained inaccessible and under-utilized for public engagement. This fellowship aims to preserve Nigerian history through digitization of archival materials, focusing on newspapers and magazines, making them accessible to the public and facilitating a deeper understanding of Nigeria’s cultural heritage. The program is guided by the crucial question: What stories and perspectives are hidden in Nigeria’s archives, waiting to be uncovered?

Requirements/Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be curious about Nigerian history and passionate about helping people understand it in new and interesting ways.
- A proven record of successful knowledge production and historical research is essential.
- Candidates should believe that their work contributes to the greater body of knowledge that enhances the world’s understanding of Nigeria in innovative ways.
- Applicants must be residents in Nigeria and not have affiliations with any government-owned entities or political parties.
