Requirements/Eligibility
1. Applicants must be citizens of a West African country.
2. Candidates must be under 30 years of age at the time of application.
3. A completed Master’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Gender Studies, Law, Sociology, or a related field is mandatory.
4. Applicants should possess excellent research and writing skills in English or French.
5. Must demonstrate a strong interest in African politics, governance, gender equality, or regional security.
6. Should be independent, confident, and collaborative, able to work well both autonomously and as part of a diverse team.
7. Priority is given to female applicants as part of ISS’s gender-inclusive policy.
8. Applicants must be available full-time and relocate to Dakar, Senegal for the duration of the programme.
9. Fluency in either English or French is required; fluency in additional West African languages is an asset.
