Requirement/Eligibility
1. Applicants must be the owner, founder, or CEO of the small business and play an active role in the daily operation and strategic direction.
2. The business must be independently owned and not affiliated with any franchise, chain, or parent company.
3. Must have fewer than 50 full-time employees, including part-time and contract workers.
4. Annual gross revenue must be less than USD 1,000,000, or the equivalent in local currency.
5. Business operations must have started at least three years prior to April 2025 and be legally registered in its home country.
6. Business must demonstrate tangible impact on local communities, including but not limited to social justice, environmental sustainability, inclusive hiring, or nonprofit collaboration.
7. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application.
8. The business must not be under U.S. OFAC sanctions or restrictions.
9. Only one application is allowed per business per award cycle.
10. Applicants must agree to participate in publicity, reporting, and community storytelling as required by Global Citizen and PayPal if selected.
