Applications are open for the 2027 Sir Cyril Taylor Young African Leaders Fellowship Program, funded by the Sir Cyril Taylor Charitable Foundation. Through the Sir Cyril Taylor Fellowship, you will build critical intercultural competencies and return home to train youth in your local community, joining the emerging Young African Leaders 2027 network.

Requirements/Eligibility Criteria

• Aged between 18 and 35 years old from a Sub-Saharan African country.
• Possess an unexpired passport and the ability to attend the assembly in Geneva, Switzerland in person in August 2027.
• Demonstrable leadership qualities or a proven track record of leadership experience.
• Intermediate proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated interest in global affairs, youth issues, and sustainable development (leading a project related to the Sustainable Development Goals is preferred).

Program Benefits

• Full funding for all 12 months of the scholarship, including travel and accommodation for the AFS Youth Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland.
• Virtual enrollment in the AFS Global Competence Certificate (GCC) Program prior to the physical assembly.
