Name of Host Institution
Accredited graduate institutions in the United States and U.S. territories, administered through the Switzer Fellowship program.
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipient, or a refugee or asylee defined by the United States Department of Homeland Security (international students are ineligible).
Must be enrolled in an accredited graduate institution in the United States or U.S. territories (online programs are excluded).
Must plan to be enrolled for the entire 2027, 2028 academic year.
Master’s and J.D. candidates must complete at least one semester or quarter of coursework by the end of 2026 and seek their Master’s as a terminal degree.
Ph.D. candidates must have completed their qualifying exams by the time of application.
Mid-career students must demonstrate how their academic program enhances their effectiveness as an environmental leader.
