The Alberta Express Entry Stream dominated the intake, anchoring priority sectors and specialized pathways. The September 18 health care round doubled its previous August volume by issuing 100 invitations at a cut-off score of 62, dropping four points from the prior threshold.
The Accelerated Tech Pathway released 100 invitations at a score of 59 on September 22, maintaining eligibility for roles supporting data centre development in Alberta. Additional priority sector rounds targeted manufacturing with 48 invitations at a minimum score of 60 on September 10, and agriculture with 18 invitations at the same threshold on September 15. The Law Enforcement Pathway cleared fewer than 10 candidates at a minimum score of 49 on September 21.
As of the September 23 update, Alberta has issued 5,221 nominations against a total 2026 allocation of 6,603. Certain streams are rapidly nearing capacity; the Alberta Express Entry priority sector pathway retains only 48 nomination spaces against its allocation of 619, and the Tourism and Hospitality Stream has just 15 spaces remaining out of 156.
The Alberta Opportunity Stream issued 113 invitations at a minimum score of 58 on September 23, marking its smallest round of the year following a much larger 575-invitation draw on September 1.
