The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program distributed the majority of these invitations through its Base Stream, alongside selections made via the Regional Stream. Candidates who cleared the 119-point cutoff and receive official nomination approval will be issued a work permit support letter, enabling them to apply directly to the federal government for a work permit.
Nominees who fulfill the terms of their business performance agreement can become eligible for a Bridging Open Work Permit after submitting their permanent residence application. Under a temporary federal measure introduced on June 9, 2026, base PNP nominees applying for permanent residence can secure this bridging permit months sooner by bypassing the requirement to first receive an Acknowledgement of Receipt for their application.
