Brief Description
The Mo Ibrahim Foundation Leadership Fellowship Programme 2027 is now accepting applications from emerging African leaders ready to step into high-level continental policy spaces. Established in 2011 by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation, this fully funded opportunity places three selected fellows directly into the executive offices of major international institutions: the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Abidjan, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Addis Ababa, or the International Trade Centre (ITC) in Geneva. Fellows receive an annual stipend of $100,000 to support their 12-month tenure, during which you will work alongside heads of organizations, contribute to critical research, and build lasting professional networks through the Now Generation Network (NGN).

Requirements/Eligibility Criteria
National of an African country
Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience
Possession of a Master’s degree
Under the age of 40, or up to 45 for women with children
Any additional criteria set by the respective host organization
Key Responsibilities
Contribute directly to high-level research and policy design within the executive offices
Engage in technical and leadership skills development over the course of the 12-month placement
Collaborate with executive teams at the African Development Bank, UNECA, or the International Trade Centre
Participate in direct mentorship sessions with the heads of the host organizations
